I honestly wish they would just sit him and let him heal. Its not like the Cavs are playing with the playoffs in mind or anything.
Kyrie is honestly about as exciting a player to watch as exist in the NBA. He may not be as dominant as Lebron, as efficient as Durant (yet), but man he’s fun to watch. His skill set at the point is so unique, so special that it makes him make me want to watch Cav basketball again, even if they are losing. The “destiny” storyline around how we got the draft pick that ended up being Kyrie (it was the one we got in the trade for Baron Davis, with a 2.2% chance of getting the #1 pick) only fuel an already awesome basketball tale.
I still really don’t think Oden would be much help, but if he’s cheap enough, go for it I guess. Looks like he wants to play in Cleveland over the alternatives. He can be really good if he’s healthy.
I really appreciate the sentiment in this article. I hold a grudge, typically indefinitely, maybe in part due to my Irish ancestry. Either way, the possibility of pairing Kyrie with Lebron is extremely exciting. That duo, with the young core the Cavs have built with Waiters, Thompson and Zeller, could be a legitimate power in the East. Here’s hoping…
This is fantastic. Even though the Cavs are terrible, I think Byron Scott is a solid coach who will see better results as the team adds pieces around Kyrie. And I love Kyrie’s attitude about this, fantastic.
I know, I know, it’s still a long shot. But, the numbers are staggering if it were to happen. And it has to be at least a little enticing to Lebron, right??
