The Cleveland Browns “threw a bone” to the Dawg Pound this morning by releasing troubled WR Davone Bess. Bess had a series of troubling incidents, from posting photos of himself with marijuana and other drugs, to an arrest in Florida. His behavior has been erratic for months, capping a season in which his on the field struggles actually cost the Browns games.
I doubt any Browns fans are sad to see Bess go. Due to the language in the contract, the Browns will not owe Davone Bess any of the 3.067 million in guaranteed money.
DPN attempted to reach the team for comment, but they understandably declined to comment on a player no longer on the roster.
