  1. I’m not 100% sure we should draft a QB at 4. Now, as crazy as this sounds, if he is still available at 26, yes, then we draft him. But, under no circumstances should we trade up to get anyone in this draft. I’m okay with trading back to get more picks… the trading back from #5 a couple times in 2009 was good because we got Alex Mack out of it at #21, and Mark Sanchez (who the Jets drafted at 5 after trading with us) will probably be out of football in 2 years.

  2. I say no way should they pick him. He is stuck on himself and has a huge ego. He thinks he’s all that and a bag of chips to go with it and he’s NOT! He will want to be the starting quarterback and not listen to the coaches. We’ll have another 3 ring circus on our hands if he comes here. We’ve had enough of that. He thinks he the best thing to come along since sliced bread and we don’t need any more distractions.

  3. It’s a simple as this. The Cleveland Browns will and only want to to draft Johnny because of his business ventures with LeBron James. Recently LeBrons marketing team (LRMR) which is located out of NE Ohio, showed high interests in acquiring Johnny Manziel. If all is true and they do join forces then expect LeBron to return to Cleveland along side of an NFL rookie superstar to Cleveland in 2014. Best believe that Cleveland will go down as one of the greatest sports powerhouses in the history of professional sports to come if this truly happens!

  4. The best QB in college last year. You can knock him for various reasons but the bottom line is the kid is SPECIAL. Remember how “dumb” Cam Newton was when he came out or how “small” Wilson was when ha came out or the “off the field issues” that Gordon has? The are ALL FOOTBALL PLAYERS BY NATURE!!! You don’t pass on NATURAL ABILITY like that. Kids A BALLER!!!! #JohnyDawgPound

  5. Draft Watkins with the 4th pick then upgrade the offensive line with the 26 pick to help hoyer out that would be my first round then if ur gonna get a Qb in the late rounds get zach mettenberger dont start him at first string yet just let him develop

  6. I am probably going to get barked at for this…. but my opinion is BPA each and every pick. There is not one QB here that is worth trading up for. Not ONE… I like Bortoles, JFF and not so high on Bridgewater…. I think any of the three is a reach at 4… I think Hoyer could do well with a solid line and throwing to Cameron/Jordan/Watkins and moving Little over to take over for Bess. I think Hyde in the second round would be the perfect fit with Lewis/Baker? I think the front office should sign some OL FA and a freakin Linebacker…. Go Browns!

    • None of the so called ”top QB’s are worth taking in the first because none of them are true QB’s. I have them taking Clowney at 4th and Im gonna say they take a RB at 26, maybe Hyde,Yeldon, or Seastrunk. I dont think they draft a WR because free agency offers some decent WR options.

  7. I just want them to do their homework, be thorough about it and when draft day comes, be calm and never make any panicked decisions. If they do that, then I’ll be content with whoever they select.

My personal opinion is that we should take Garoppolo later and draft Watkins with the #4. I think all the QB’s that might be better than him will be off the board by that time and even though they might be better, I don’t think they are good enough for us to trade up to get any of them.

  8. This is a deep draft, so I hope they don’t trade up and miss out on chances later in the draft. Ask yourself why everyone is willing to trade down? Is it because these quarterbacks aren’t worth aotop ten pick? Evaluate the talent and steady where you are. If one of these three fall to you, take one but don’t force it. If Watkins, Clowney or Matthews is there and all the quarterbacks are gone, g take your highest rated player. What if the browns trade down? Like to seven?

  9. Im torn. This class isnt that strong. I truely believe bridgewater is a bust. Manziel i think has a 50/50 shot unless hes injured which could very well happen. He scrambles when he doesnt need to and is going to run straight into suggs, harrison, or porter. I love his intangibles. I think he could do it but he has to become more comfortable in the pocket. He also has a serious problem with just throwing the ball up and expecting his recievers to come down with it. This will NOT work in the nfl aka tebow. Bortles i like a lot but hes either going to be like Raplistburger or gabbart. Hes only ascended so high on the charts due to a weak draft and he has the size. Dont get me wrong he was a solid qb in college and did muster up some impressive game winning drives.
We need a qb and have to give it a shot at least at 4. Weve never tried to draft a qb this early since couch. Say what you will, but couch was bar none the best qb the browns have had in 15yrs. He wouldve been a franchise qb on any other team had he had any talent around him.
All the other qbs weve drafted in the first were later and screamed bust bit we didnt listen.a notre damn qb, and a guy who could throw a football at disks? Im sick of drafting a qb late and ‘grooming’ him. Doesnt work. Whens the last time a cleveland qb lasted an entire 16 game season. Hes going to get thrown to the wolves to early and get eaten alive. We need a winner. We need anything but the same old browns. I think our best shot is bortles. The only way id take manziel is if we trade up and grab evans too. If manziel is the qb get ready for a lot of shotgun.

Whoever we choose if they suck this year we have to draft a qb with the first next year. I like what haslam is doing. If its not working, find someone who will make it work.

  10. This is a perfect year to pick up some sure fire talent. The QBs run deep. Lots of positions of need run deep. That said, I would take Watkins firs. I would take The best OG/RT next. I would take Carlos Hyde in the second. I would then take the best QB available in the 3rd. Surely McCarron, Murray, or Mettenberger will still be there. I give Hoyer a year to prove something. If not I see what the rookie can do. If I’m pleased with neither then I am ready to sell the farm to get my QB in 2015 be it Mariota, Winston, Hogan, whoever.

  11. I don’t think they should use the No. 4 pick on a quarterback period. We will have another pick in the first round to get a good quarterback for our organization. I wouldn’t mind them drafting Johnny Football but not as the starter. As someone who knows coming in they are the backup to Hoyer and learning! I don’t think JF will like that though.

I honestly dont see us going after any qb in the first unless it is teddy if not him farmer gives hoyer the rains this year and then takes mariota or winston or even hogan next year…..manziel will not be johnny cleveland next year he will go to houston or jax i still see us taking garapollo in the 3rd and letting him develop imo

  14. Hell no they better not draft him totally dislike him he’s arrogant I’m not going say he’s not a team player but I think it’s all about him… I would like the browns to either trade down and get another 2nd round pick. Or go by way of picking at,5 the WR out of Clemson dam forgot his name..at 26 DO WHAT EVER TO GET RB CARLOS HYDE !!!!!! In the 2nd round take Mettenburger QB out LSU . RESIGN MACK AND WARD NEEDS TO BEEN DONE GIVE HOYER HIS SHOT AND IF HOYER ISN’T GETTIN IT DONE THEN WE GOT METTENBURGER….

  15. All the rumors have him off the board by the time the Browns pick. If so, don’t take a QB with the number 4. Take Watkins instead. I do not think there is much seperation in any of these guys, especially the guys who are left. I think Carr could be a great late first round pick. That being said it’s Johnnies attitude that I love, and if he is on the board you have to take him…unless you know something we don’t. I do think there is some playing going on with other teams hoping the Browns will move up. I actually wouldn’t mind seeing them move down (a bit) and gaining a pick.
    Go Browns!

  16. i think if Farmer was sold on Mariota, i think we should give Hoyer a go with Sammy Watkins, and maybe take a chance on McCarron as a back up. getting the RIGHT leading man for this team may take awhile… for a long term leading man. and for his durability in the N.F.L., does johnny football have that? or is there a James Harrison out there ready to disprove that in one fell hit? with Hundley and Mariota out, i don’t think this years draft is as rich as they thought it would be last year. on the other hand, if we must quell this qtr.back concern this year… i think johnny F is the best pick of the litter overall. but here’s one thing.. if Farmer is so sold on Mariota, then who was Stanfords qb that beat Mariota this past year?

    Like

    • Stanford’s QB didn’t beat Mariota. QBs aren’t even on the field at the same time. 22 guys play the game. To say you want a QB because he beat another QB is ridiculous. Stanford’s QB, Hogan, won’t be drafted ahead of Mariota. Unless Mariota has a career ending injury.

  17. Only if he’s available at 4, Bridgewater is off the board, and they rate him over Bortles (I don’t know enough about Bortles to compare). I don’t think he’s worth moving up for. If all the QBs were available, I’d take Bridgewater – I think the NFL is about decision-making and he’s been the best decision-maker (and gotten better each year).
